A baby cockroach was found at the Romano's restaurant in JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar on Saturday night, interrupting the dinner of Dr. Ashok Seth, a prominent interventional cardiologist and Chairman of Cardiac Sciences at Fortis Okhla. Dr. Seth shared a video of the incident on social media, jokingly suggesting that the insect may have wanted to share his meal.
The incident occurred at Romano's, an award-winning Italian restaurant inside the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar. Dr. Seth, who has around 40 years of experience and has contributed to the development of interventional cardiology, posted the video on September 20, 2026, and tagged Tukaram Mundhe, the Commissioner of the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration.
In his social media post, Dr. Seth wrote that the baby cockroach appeared to be interested in sharing the meal and did not leave despite attempts by the diners to persuade it to move. He jokingly suggested that the insect may have wanted 'Piazza and not Pasta'.
