India's Fertiliser Imports, Production Fall

India's fertiliser production and imports have fallen sharply in the June quarter. Production of complex fertilizers dropped 28 percent in the June quarter. Imports of fertilizers slipped 48.5 percent in the June quarter. The rise in ammonia and sulphur prices, which have nearly doubled, is a key factor in the decline.
