MINISO Enters Quick Commerce with 90+ Products
Partners with Swiggy Instamart to offer Harry Potter, Hello Kitty merchandise for 10-minute delivery across key Indian cities

MINISO has partnered with Swiggy Instamart to offer over 90 products, including Harry Potter and Hello Kitty merchandise, for quick delivery in key metropolitan cities across India. The partnership, launched on August 21, expands Instamart's non-grocery offerings and aims to reach a wider consumer base.
The products on offer include a range of everyday items such as backpacks, water bottles, tiffin boxes, and stationery, alongside merchandise featuring popular global franchises like Harry Potter, Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, BT21, and Disney's Stitch. These products will be available for delivery in just 10 minutes, making it a convenient option for customers.
The partnership is facilitated by Opptra, MINISO's digital commerce distribution partner in India. Instamart operates across more than 131 cities in India, and this partnership is a calculated step in its broader expansion into non-grocery categories.
Charmaine Chan, Vice General Manager of MINISO India, emphasized the emotional connection of the brand's catalogue, stating that MINISO continues to make everyday life more fun and inspiring through its products. Gautam Swaroop, Chief Business Officer at Instamart, said that the partnership is a step in Instamart's broader expansion into non-grocery categories, joining electronics, beauty, and toys.
## Why it matters The partnership between MINISO and Swiggy Instamart marks a significant move in the quick commerce space in India. As quick commerce platforms increasingly move beyond everyday essentials into lifestyle, gifting, and general merchandise, this partnership aims to capture the lucrative impulse-buying and gifting market. With the initial catalogue rollout targeting Gen Z and millennial shoppers, the partnership is expected to provide faster digital shopping channels and reach a wider consumer base.
The launch is part of Instamart's broader push into non-grocery categories, and MINISO will initially be available across key metropolitan cities, with plans to expand both its product catalogue and city coverage in the coming months. By placing these highly visual, emotionally driven products on a platform designed for instant gratification, Instamart is effectively turning its dark stores into digital mall storefronts, minus the wait typically associated with lifestyle and accessory shopping.
