Animal Collective Plays Feels Live
The band will perform their 2004 album in full at NYC and LA shows, their first performances together since 2022, following a 20th anniversary reissue and solo projects
Animal Collective has announced two live shows where they will play their 2004 album Feels in full. The shows will take place on November 22 at the Knockdown Center in Queens, NY, and on November 24 at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.
These performances mark the band's first time playing together since 2022. In the intervening years, the band members have been working on various solo projects. Geologist, for example, has released his first-ever solo album and collaborated with other artists on several projects, including the soundtrack to the documentary Jetty with Deakin.
The band's most recent album, Isn't It Now?, was released in 2023. Last year also saw the release of a 20th anniversary reissue of Feels, which included nine previously unreleased B-sides and demos. The band also premiered FeelsLive 04/05, a compilation of live recordings from 2004 and 2005.
