Duncan Kenworthy To Receive BAFTA Fellowship

Duncan Kenworthy, a renowned British producer, will receive the BAFTA Fellowship award on October 23 for his outstanding contributions to film. The award recognizes his extraordinary contribution to film, championing British talent and storytelling through a distinguished body of work that has resonated with audiences worldwide.
Kenworthy has had a career spanning over five decades, producing internationally acclaimed films including 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' (1994), 'Notting Hill' (1999), and 'Love Actually' (2003). His creative partnership with Richard Curtis has shaped the British romantic comedy and brought British storytelling to global audiences.
In addition to his work in film, Kenworthy has also worked on numerous television credits, including 'Sesame Street' (1969), 'Fraggle Rock' (1983), and the Emmy-winning 'Gulliver’s Travels' (1996). He co-founded independent production company DNA with Andrew Macdonald, whose films include 'Trainspotting' (1996), '28 Days Later' (2002), 'The Last King of Scotland' (2006), and 'Civil War' (2024).
Kenworthy has been recognized for his services to film, having been awarded an OBE. He has also played a significant role in supporting the development of the next generation of screen talent, establishing the Toledo Scholarship through his production company Toledo Productions. The scholarship supports talented U.K. students from underrepresented backgrounds, helping to address gaps in representation and ensuring that a wider range of voices can access and build careers across the industry.
