Lorena Bobbitt's Shocking Story

Hulu has ordered a second season of 'Good American Family', which will take on an anthology format and focus on the case of Lorena Bobbitt and her husband John Bobbitt. The season is inspired by the true story of the couple, where Lorena severed John's penis in 1993, citing systemic abuse as the trigger for her actions.

Katie Robbins will return as creator and executive producer for Season 2, while Ellen Pompeo will also return as executive producer, although she is not expected to star. The logline for Season 2 describes it as 'A limited series inspired by the ripped-from-the-headlines story of Lorena and John Bobbitt', a Virginia couple who incited a media circus and ignited a gender war.

The first season of 'Good American Family' has been a massive success, with over 140M hours streamed globally on Hulu and Disney+ since its launch in March 2025.
