Jaden Smith, Sophia Lillis Cast In Neon Horror Film ‘4 X 4: The Event’
Director Alex Ullom's second feature film, a thriller about an illegal sensory-assault livestream, has wrapped principal photography with a cast including Dylan Minnette and Jacob Tremblay

Alex Ullom has set the lead cast for his second feature film, 4 X 4: The Event, a Neon horror thriller that follows eight contestants in an illegal sensory-assault livestream. The film has recently wrapped principal photography and features a cast including Sophia Lillis, Dylan Minnette, and Jaden Smith.
The cast of 4 X 4: The Event also includes Quintessa Swindell, Maddie Phillips, Marcel Ruiz, Mitchell Cole, and Jacob Tremblay. The film is produced by Spooky Pictures and Image Nation Studios, alongside Divide/Conquer & Phobos, with Neon taking worldwide rights to the film.
The director describes 4 X 4: The Event as 'straight maximalism', a stark contrast to his debut feature film, It Ends, which is being released in theaters by Neon. It Ends follows four recent college graduates on a late-night food run that turns into a nightmare.
## What's next for 4 X 4: The Event The film's plot follows eight contestants as they enter an illegal sensory-assault livestream where they must kill or be killed using only what they can order online. The film is compared to the works of Gaspar Noé, a transgressive French director known for his cult classics like Irreversible and Enter the Void.
## Why it matters The film's unique concept and talented cast make it a highly anticipated release in the horror genre. With Neon taking worldwide rights to the film, 4 X 4: The Event is expected to reach a wide audience and generate significant buzz. The film's success could also establish Alex Ullom as a rising star in the horror genre, following in the footsteps of other successful horror directors.
The film's production team includes Roy Lee and Steven Schneider for Spooky Pictures, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath for Divide/Conquer, and Chris Ferguson and Osgood Perkins for Phobos. The deal was negotiated by Kate Gondwe for Neon with UTA Independent Film Group on behalf of the filmmakers.
