His family released a statement confirming his condition, stating he "experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days." In the same statement, Hilton’s family issued a plea to the media: "We kindly ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time and cease photographing Perez’s children." Hilton is a father to three children.
