Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, is currently hospitalized in Miami under Florida’s Baker Act, a law that allows for involuntary mental health evaluation and treatment. His family released a statement confirming his condition, stating he "experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days." Communication is restricted to immediate family and medical staff.

In the same statement, Hilton’s family issued a plea to the media: "We kindly ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time and cease photographing Perez’s children." Hilton is a father to three children.
