Prince Estate Releases Unheard Album Timeless

The Prince estate has released a new album, Timeless, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his death. The album features 10 rare and previously unreleased tracks from Prince's vault, spanning every major era of his career.

The album includes recordings from as early as 1977, when Prince was just a teenager in Minneapolis, to as late as 2016, the year of his death. One of the tracks, 'With This Tear', was composed, produced, and performed by Prince in November 1991, before he gave it to Celine Dion.

Another track, 'Stone', is an unreleased recording from spring 1995, written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer, and Jules Van Even. The album was released in partnership with Legacy Recordings and is the first release of unheard recordings from Prince's vault since 2023.

## What's on the album The album opens with the horn-spiked funk jam 'I Am You', which was recorded at Minneapolis' Sound 89 studio in 1977 when Prince was just 19 years old. It's followed by the blitzing, punky lust bomb of 1981's 'Tick Tick Bang', which was released on the Graffiti Bridge album nine years later with a more funk-forward feel.
