Sarajevo Film Festival Unveils 'Vibrant' Lineup

The Sarajevo Film Festival is set to take place from August 14-21, featuring a lineup of 51 films across four competition sections. The festival will include 21 world premieres, six international premieres, one European premiere, and 23 regional premieres.

The festival will open with Paweł Pawlikowski's Fatherland and close with a restored version of Danis Tanović's No Man's Land. The lineup has a strong presence of female filmmakers, including Urša Menart and Dina Duma, with their films Everything That's Wrong With You and Skateboarding Is Not For Girls, respectively.

The festival's industry strand, CineLink Industry Days, will feature a Co-Production Market with 16 films, including nine directed or co-directed by women. The festival will also honor Emily Watson, Asghar Farhadi, Diego Luna, and Woody Harrelson with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award.
