SNL Drops Longtime Music Booker
Brian Siedlecki, who booked stars like Paul McCartney and Olivia Rodrigo, is out after nearly 30 years with the show

Saturday Night Live has parted ways with longtime music booker Brian Siedlecki, who had been with the show for nearly 30 years. Siedlecki started as an intern in 1996 and went on to book countless superstars for the program.
During his tenure, Siedlecki helped establish SNL as a must-stop for artists promoting their new records and a major milestone for emerging acts. His first booking was Nelly Furtado in 2001, when her hit single 'I'm Like a Bird' was released. Over the years, he booked a wide range of stars, including legacy icons like Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen, as well as contemporary pop stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Olivia Rodrigo.
Siedlecki's departure comes just over a month before SNL is scheduled to return for its 52nd season on September 26. The show will still have the services of longtime bookers Keri Powers and Rebecca Schwartz, who have been with the program since 2014 and 2015, respectively. When asked for comment, NBC said that the network 'doesn’t comment on staffing.'
## What's Next The news of Siedlecki's departure follows the announcement that cast member Chloe Fineman is leaving the show after seven seasons. Siedlecki's exit marks a significant change for the program, which has relied on his expertise in booking musical guests for nearly three decades.
## Background SNL's musical guests have long been a major part of the show's appeal, providing a platform for artists to reach a wide audience and gain mainstream recognition. With Siedlecki's departure, it remains to be seen how the show will approach booking musical guests in the future. For now, fans will have to wait and see what the new season brings when it premieres on September 26.
