Steven Yeun Stars In New Netflix Series Pagans
The Walking Dead alum will play Gus, a father who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after a tragic loss, in the supernatural thriller created by Joshua Zetumer

Steven Yeun is set to star in and executive produce a new Netflix series called Pagans, a supernatural thriller created by Joshua Zetumer. Yeun will play the role of Gus, a man who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after the tragic loss of his wife.
The series follows Gus's complex relationship with his daughter Alice, which evolves into something sinister. Pagans began as a spec script from Joshua Zetumer, who will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the series.
Netflix won a multi-outlet bidding war for Pagans with a straight-to-series order. Yeun will executive produce alongside Zetumer, Drew Goddard, Sarah Esberg, Jonathan van Tulleken, Erica Kay, and Christina Oh.
## What's Next For Yeun Yeun will next be seen in Netflix’s feature film Animals opposite Ben Affleck, Kerry Washington, and Gillian Anderson. He also starred opposite Affleck and Matt Damon in The Rip earlier this year. Yeun voices the title character in Prime Video’s animated series Invincible and has other credits including The Walking Dead, Nope, and Mickey 17.
## Why It Matters The new series is a significant addition to Netflix's lineup of supernatural thrillers. With Yeun's involvement, Pagans is likely to generate significant buzz among fans of the genre. The show's exploration of complex family relationships and dark themes is also expected to resonate with audiences.
The series description reads, “Pagans follows Gus, who becomes the sole caretaker of his two children after the tragic loss of his wife. While his son is typical, his daughter, Alice, is anything but. What starts as a strained father-daughter relationship soon evolves into something far more sinister. Equal parts emotional, horrifying and humorous, Pagans is a show that unearths all our darkest thoughts about family.”
