A group of over 300 people, who met on Kerala State Road Transport Corporation's budget tourism trips, have formed their own travel group, Yathra Kudumbam, and undertaken over 10 trips together
A travel group of over 300 people, Yathra Kudumbam, was formed by individuals who met during Kerala State Road Transport Corporation's (KSRTC) budget tourism trips. The group has since organized their own trips to various destinations in Kerala and beyond.
The group works in association with the Budget Tourism Cell (BTC), a vertical under KSRTC. They have undertaken over 10 trips, including one-day and multi-day trips to locations such as Bonacaud, Malarikkal, and Mayamkadavu.
The group's first trip was to Bonacaud, a trekking base camp of Agasthyarkoodam. They have also visited other locations like Attayar, Kumbhavurutty, Mankayam-Meenmutti-Ponmudi, Achankovil river, and Kalleli Appooppankavu.
Recently, the group celebrated Onam at Mayamkadavu, with 60 members in attendance. Sajith S, a conductor with KSRTC's Thiruvananthapuram city depot, guides the group. Thomas TC, a member of Yathra Kudumbam, is a level 10 local Google guide.
