Simple Energy Launches Wave Family Escooter At ₹1.1 Lakh

Simple Energy has launched its first family escooter, the Simple Wave, at an introductory starting price of ₹1.10 Lakh (ex-showroom). The Simple Wave range comprises six models across three variants: the Simple Wave S, Simple Wave, and Simple Wave+.
The top-end Simple Wave+ comes with a 5 kWh battery pack, an IDC-certified range of 243 km, and a top speed of 90 kmph. The other models in the range offer different battery capacities, including 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh, and 2.2 kWh, with IDC-certified ranges of 171 km, 132 km, and 110 km, respectively.
The Simple Wave range offers 70 litres of total storage, including 63 litres beneath the seat, a three-litre front cubby, and a four-litre quick-access side compartment called 'Pill Storage'. The escooters also come with portable chargers and support both standard and fast charging, with the top-end variant capable of charging from 0 to 80% in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Deliveries for the Simple Wave are scheduled to begin in the last week of September 2026. The company currently has the capacity to manufacture 3,000 scooters a month and plans to increase monthly sales to 10,000 units by March 2027.
