TNR Gold Seeks $1B Partner
90% of Alaska's Shotgun Gold Project on the line in 2026 exploration program

TNR Gold Corp has launched its 2026 exploration program at the Shotgun Gold Project in southwestern Alaska, with the goal of attracting a partnership with a major gold mining company and meeting its listing requirements. The program will follow up on geochemical anomalies identified through Novagold Resources' 1998 soil surveys and geophysical targets flagged by SJ Geophysics' 2011 and 2012 IP surveys.
The Shotgun Gold Project, located 190 kilometres south of the Donlin Gold Project within the Kuskokwim Gold Belt, is a key focus for TNR Gold Corp, which holds a 90% interest in the project. The Donlin Gold Project is one of the largest undeveloped gold deposits in the world, and TNR is targeting a large-tonnage, porphyry-style gold system at Shotgun Ridge.
The exploration program will allow TNR to meet its listing requirements and work commitments needed to keep the claims in good standing, while also adding further information to the project's data room for potential strategic partners. TNR's strategy for the project is to attract a partnership with a major gold mining company, and the company is actively introducing the project to interested parties.
## What's at Stake The success of the exploration program is crucial for TNR Gold Corp, as it will determine the company's ability to attract a major gold mining partner and advance the project. The Kuskokwim Gold Belt, where the Shotgun Gold Project is located, is emerging as a world-class, multi-million-ounce gold district, and TNR's project has the potential to be a significant player in this region.
## Why it Matters The launch of the 2026 exploration program at the Shotgun Gold Project is significant not only for TNR Gold Corp but also for the broader gold mining industry. The discovery of a large-tonnage, porphyry-style gold system at Shotgun Ridge could have major implications for the global gold market, and the project's location in the Kuskokwim Gold Belt makes it an attractive opportunity for major gold mining companies.
The exploration program is also important for the local economy in Alaska, as it has the potential to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the region. As TNR Gold Corp moves forward with its exploration program, it will be closely watched by investors, industry analysts, and local communities, all of whom will be eager to see the results of the company's efforts.
