Michael Brennan secures FedEx Cup Playoffs spot with $1,530,000 winner's check, vaulting from 93rd to 52nd on the money list

Michael Brennan has won the Wyndham Championship by three strokes from Beau Hossler, securing his place in the FedExCup Playoffs. The victory earned him a winner's check for $1,530,000, significantly improving his financial standing on the Tour money list.
With this win, Brennan jumped from 93rd on the money list to 52nd, with more than $2.7 million. This is a substantial improvement, especially considering he made more last week than he did in all of the 2025 season, which was $1.1 million.
The top 70 finishers in the points standings qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, and Brennan's win ensured his spot in the upcoming tournament. The first FedEx Cup Playoff tournament is the FedEx St. Jude Championship, scheduled to take place at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, from August 13-16.
Brennan's win also marked a significant milestone, as he became the 66th player on the Tour to surpass $2 million for the season. Additionally, he is now one of 112 players who have made $1 million or more this season.
## What's Next The FedEx Cup Playoffs will feature the top golfers competing for the championship title, and Brennan's win has secured his place among them. With his improved standing on the money list, he will look to build on this momentum in the upcoming tournament.
