Joker Persona Helps Cong 'Feel The Fear' In Opponents

Wang Cong, a 34-year-old Chinese fighter, is using a unique tactic to intimidate her opponents - a Joker persona. Before each fight, Cong dyes her hair green, paints her face white, and draws a bright red grin from cheek to cheek. This persona, inspired by the joker playing card, makes her feel crazy and perform better, she says.

Cong is on a four-fight win streak and will face Natalia Silva for the vacant flyweight world title at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City. Silva, 29, is on a 14-fight win streak across different promotions and is the favourite to capture the vacant title after Valentina Shevchenko was forced to vacate the belt last month due to injury.

The fight between Cong and Silva will be the first women's main event in the UFC since Mackenzie Dern beat Amanda Ribas in January. Cong has won 10 of her 11 professional MMA fights and is confident that her Joker persona will give her an edge over her opponent.

Cong's persona is not just about intimidation; it's also a reflection of her true personality. She says that when she has paint on, she feels crazy, and it inspires her to perform better. She even adopts the Joker alias when using social media messaging back home in China.

The stakes are high for this fight, with the vacant flyweight world title on the line. Cong and Silva are both highly skilled fighters, and the outcome is far from certain. With Cong's Joker persona and Silva's impressive win streak, this fight is shaping up to be an exciting and unpredictable matchup.
