Suhey was the lead blocker for Hall of Fame running back Walter Payton for most of his career. He scored the first touchdown of Super Bowl XX, helping lead the way to the Bears’ eventual 46-10 victory over the New England Patriots.
Suhey played college football for Penn State University, rushing for 2,818 yards and 26 touchdowns from 1976 to 1979. He was selected by the Bears in the second round of the 1980 NFL Draft.
