President's Medal for Prison Superintendent

Rajahmundry Central Prison Superintendent S. Rahul has been awarded the President's Medal for distinguished services in the prison and correctional service. The award was announced on August 14, 2026, as part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.

Seventeen police officers from Karnataka have been conferred the President's Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2026. The recipients include Sara Fathima, currently the Superintendent of Police (Railways), and several Deputy Superintendents of Police, inspectors, and constables.

Twenty police personnel of the Tamil Nadu police have been awarded with the President's Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service. Additionally, 21 CBI personnel were awarded the President's Medal for Distinguished Service and Medal for Meritorious Service this year.

IPS Nupur Prasad, who led the Sushant Singh Rajput CBI probe, has been selected for the President's Medal for Distinguished Service. The President's Medal for Distinguished Service was also conferred on Assistant Inspector General of Police Shobha Dutta, among others.
