Ghost of Yōtei Expands Oct 1

Sony has announced Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, which will be released on October 1 for PS5. The Complete Edition includes a new narrative expansion called Echoes of Sekigahara, a new single-player combat survival mode called Most Wanted, and other additional content.

The Echoes of Sekigahara expansion is split between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu's time on the mainland. Players will meet Nagato, a figure from Atsu's past who has arrived in Ezo, and explore a previously unseen valley once inhabited by The Snake and his gang of loyal followers, the Vipers. In the past, players will experience Atsu's time in the Battle of Sekigahara and a key moment in her life before she returned home for her quest for vengeance.

The Most Wanted mode is a roguelike mode where players accept bounties to start new runs and earn perks. Players can also unlock additional characters to play as, each specializing in one of the game's many weapons. The trailer shows Atsu with the dual katana, Oyuki with the kusarigama, and Nagato with a yari.

The Complete Edition costs $69.99 and includes all content from the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Charm of Hokkyokusei. Existing owners can upgrade to the Complete Edition for $14.99. A new patch on October 1 will add a new Beauty of Yotei mode and other quality of life features. Players who purchase the Complete Edition by September 30 will also unlock the Sakai Armor.
