xAI Launches $200/Mo AI Agent

Grok Bot, an AI agent service, has been launched by xAI, allowing users to create personalized AI agents that can perform tasks on their behalf. The service is available in beta for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers.

The Grok Bot service enables users to assign work to the bots, which can work independently, learn from each other, and retain context about how users perform tasks. The bots can operate a computer environment, log into tools and services, and work across apps, email inboxes, and other software.

Grok Bot is available for $200/month, billed monthly, or included with Cursor Ultra for $120/seat/month. Cursor Ultra includes Grok Bot and provides additional features such as the ability for bots to work in parallel, 24/7, even when the user's laptop is closed.

One of the key features of Grok Bot is its ability to learn and save existing workflows and retain context about how users perform tasks. The bots can also follow up on dropped conversations and handover threads, pick work back up from old chats, and become more proactive over time.

A version of Grok Bot, known as Grok 4.6, has achieved frontier intelligence across several agentic coding and knowledge work benchmarks. It is trained on a wide range of agentic RL tasks, including knowledge work, general coding, and domain-specific environments.

## Why it matters The launch of Grok Bot has significant implications for users who want to automate tasks and increase productivity. With the ability to create personalized AI agents, users can offload tasks and focus on more complex and creative work. The fact that Grok Bot can learn from users and retain context about how they perform tasks makes it a powerful tool for streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.

## What happens next As Grok Bot continues to develop and improve, it is likely to have a major impact on the way users work and interact with technology. With its ability to operate independently and learn from users, Grok Bot has the potential to revolutionize the way tasks are performed and automate many routine processes. As the service becomes more widely available, it will be interesting to see how users adapt to working with personalized AI agents and how it changes the way they work.
