Thieves have stolen 40,000 pounds of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer in two separate heists from an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California. The total value of the stolen beer is estimated to be around $70,000.

The first theft occurred around 10 a.m. on August 17, when a shipment valued at approximately $45,000 and headed to Tucson, Arizona, was picked up for delivery but never arrived at its destination. About an hour later, a second theft occurred, with a purported subcontracting company submitting fraudulent documentation to arrange the pickup of around $25,000 worth of Anheuser-Busch and Pabst Blue Ribbon products.

Pabst Blue Ribbon is offering a reward for information leading to the return of the stolen beer. The company has also issued a plea for the beer's return, stating that the thief has 18 days and 44 minutes to return the truckload, no questions asked.

The Montclair Police Department is investigating the incident, which involves two separate cargo thefts reported on August 17 at the Anheuser-Busch distribution center. Investigators believe the two thefts may be related.

## Why it matters The theft of the beer is not only a significant financial loss for Pabst Blue Ribbon but also a concern for the company's reputation and customer satisfaction. The incident highlights the need for increased security measures to prevent such thefts in the future. The investigation by the Montclair Police Department is ongoing, and the company is hoping for the safe return of the stolen beer.

The theft of the Pabst Blue Ribbon beer is the latest in a series of high-profile cargo thefts, including the theft of 12 tons of KitKat chocolate bars in Europe. The incident has also sparked a light-hearted social media promotion by Pabst Blue Ribbon, with the company using humor to appeal for the return of the stolen beer.
