The meeting, held at the Gupkar residence of the Abdullahs in Srinagar, was facilitated by Ali Muhammad Sagar, a close confidante of Farooq Abdullah and the party's general secretary. The MLAs had expressed concerns over the party's poor functioning and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's Cabinet decisions.
