ZenaDrone, a subsidiary of ZenaTech, has completed the initial Version 1 prototype of its IQ Octo precision agriculture drone. The company is set to begin field testing of the drone at its Arizona facility in the coming weeks.

The IQ Octo drone is designed to carry up to 25 kilograms of seeds or liquid and operate for approximately 20 to 25 minutes per battery charge. It uses an eight-motor octocopter configuration and is designed for autonomous spraying and seeding.

ZenaTech plans to offer spraying and seeding services through its Drone as a Service model, which aims to create recurring service and data opportunities rather than relying solely on drone sales. The IQ Octo drone is intended to fly at low altitude and distribute treatments or seeds at controlled rates.

## What it means for farmers The IQ Octo drone could help farmers access difficult or wet terrain while avoiding the soil compaction and crop damage associated with heavy machinery. By using a drone for spraying and seeding, farmers may be able to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

## Why it matters ZenaTech's Drone as a Service strategy is a key part of the company's plans to expand into precision agriculture applications. By offering services rather than just selling drones, the company hopes to create a recurring revenue stream and provide valuable data to farmers. With the IQ Octo drone, ZenaTech is taking a significant step towards achieving this goal.

ZenaTech Inc. is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol ZENA. The company's progress with the IQ Octo drone is likely to be closely watched by investors and industry observers, as it has the potential to make a significant impact on the precision agriculture market.
