Ghana's Buzstop Boys Get Boost

Absa Bank Ghana has donated a range of equipment to Buzstop Boys, a community group dedicated to improving public spaces through clean-up activities. The donation includes a demolition breaker, an angle grinder, sledgehammers, a submersible sewage pump, a petrol pressure washer, a brush cutter, an earth auger, a portable generator, a lawn mower, and 100 metres of layflat hose.

The equipment was presented by Absa Bank Ghana's Executive Director, Private, Personal and Business Banking, Mr Kobla Nyaletey, and other members of the Prestige Banking team. Mr Nyaletey commended the Buzstop Boys for demonstrating leadership and civic responsibility in their efforts to improve public spaces.

The donation reflects Absa's commitment to supporting community-led initiatives that create lasting social and environmental value. According to Mr Nyaletey, the Buzstop Boys' efforts show what committed citizens can achieve when they take responsibility for their communities. The Founder and Lead of Buzstop Boys, Mr Heneba Kwadwo Safo, received the equipment on behalf of the group.

The donation will help the Buzstop Boys overcome practical challenges they encounter during clean-up exercises. The equipment was presented at Absa Bank Ghana's new head office, Absa Place.
