The winners of the awards are selected based on their outstanding contributions to the farm sector, and the awards are presented by the Chief Minister of Kerala.

The awards are significant as they recognize the efforts of individuals and institutions to strengthen agriculture, improve farmers' incomes, and address challenges faced by the farming community. The winners of the awards are role models for others in the farm sector, and their contributions can inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
