EloElo Group, the parent company of microdrama platform Story TV, has raised $80 million in a Series C funding round led by Hornbill Capital and NBCUniversal. The funding round also saw participation from MIT Investment Co. and existing investors including Play Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Waterbridge Ventures, and Griffin Gaming Partners.

The company plans to use the funds to invest in premium original content across Indian languages, expand its Story TV platform to international markets, and strengthen its AI capabilities through Dolphin AI. Story TV has over 5,000 microdramas across six languages and is the company's largest product.

EloElo Group was founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executive Saurabh Pandey and has over 40 million monthly active users and more than 300 million installs across its portfolio of apps. The funding was done at a valuation of $500 million, which is almost a 5X jump from its previous fundraise.

## What's Next The new round brings EloElo Group’s total capital raised to $130 million to date. With this funding, the company aims to deepen its premium content slate by working with established production studios and experimenting with AI-generated content.

## Why It Matters The funding is a significant boost for EloElo Group as it looks to expand its global reach and invest in original content. The company's focus on microdramas and AI capabilities has resonated with users, and this funding will help it to further strengthen its position in the market. As the company expands its international presence, it will be interesting to see how it navigates the global market and competes with other players in the space.

The funding also highlights the growing interest in the microdrama space, with NBCUniversal's participation a significant endorsement of the company's vision. As EloElo Group continues to invest in original content and expand its global reach, it will be an interesting space to watch in the coming months.
