HIVE Digital Technologies has secured a significant contract in the technology sector, signing a five-year, $350 million GPU cloud services agreement with an investment-grade enterprise customer. The contract is expected to generate approximately $70 million in annualized revenue, bringing the company's total annualized revenue to about $180 million.

The contract involves the deployment of 2,016 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs at a facility in Merritt, British Columbia, powered entirely by renewable hydroelectric energy. This deployment is expected to support large-scale AI training, inference, and other enterprise workloads.

HIVE expects to spend about $185 million deploying the cluster, with the customer providing an upfront deposit of roughly $35 million, about 10% of the contract's value. The system is expected to go live in the fourth quarter of this year, at which point HIVE's daily AI and high-performance computing revenue is expected to reach about $500,000.

## What it means for HIVE The contract is a major milestone for HIVE Digital, bringing the company closer to its goal of achieving $200 million in annual recurring revenue. The deal is also expected to add significant revenue to HIVE Digital's operations, solidifying its position in the AI and high-performance computing sector.

## Why it matters The contract highlights the growing demand for AI and high-performance computing services, driven by the increasing need for large-scale data processing and analysis. HIVE Digital's ability to secure such a significant contract demonstrates its capabilities in providing scalable and efficient computing solutions, positioning the company for further growth in the sector.

The use of renewable hydroelectric energy to power the facility in Merritt, British Columbia, also underscores the company's commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental footprint. As the demand for AI and high-performance computing continues to grow, companies like HIVE Digital are well-positioned to capitalize on this trend, driving innovation and growth in the technology sector.
