16 DJs Unite

Zimbabwe's Afro House scene is getting a major boost with the launch of 'Inner Visions', a collaborative project that brings together nearly 16 DJs, producers, and artists from the country. The multi-track compilation is curated by Dr Feel, a South Africa-based Zimbabwean Afro House DJ and producer.

The project features a diverse range of artists, including DJ Stavo, Nitefreak, Dr. Chaii, Ryan Synth, MIčI, Reverb, TAPIWA, Simbai, Tashinga, Shona (SA), PA NGU, Afro Wav, Takue SBT, Josh Major, Daphfinee, and Taarof Adder. This compilation offers a snapshot of Zimbabwe's evolving Afro House scene, bringing together established names and emerging creatives.

Dr Feel, the curator and initiator of the project, has a wealth of experience in the music industry. He has released over 200 singles and more than 10 EPs, as well as the albums 'Made in Africa' and 'Indalo'. His music has been associated with labels and platforms including Defected, Sondela, Deep Root Tribe, Nervous, and Aluku. Dr Feel has also performed internationally at events and venues including Sondela Summer Party and Badbox & Friends in London, Cé La Vi in Dubai, and ADE in Amsterdam.

The 'Inner Visions' compilation aims to create a shared platform for Zimbabwean creatives and explore how rhythm can carry identity, memory, and personal experience. The project seeks to showcase Zimbabwe's growing electronic music scene to audiences in Africa and beyond.
