TTAP Forms 6-Member Committee
Leader of Opposition Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri leads team to set agenda for multi-party conference on new provinces, law and order
The Tehreek-i-Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP) has formed a six-member committee to consult with political parties and reach an agreement on the agenda for a proposed multi-party conference. The opposition announced the proposed multi-party conference earlier this month.
The six-member committee includes Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan, TTAP’s Secretary General Asad Qaiser, Vice Chairman Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, spokesperson Akhwanzada Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai, and PTI Core Committee member Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
The committee will liaise with other political parties regarding the proposed moot, consult them on its agenda, and work towards reaching agreement on the way forward. The opposition intends to discuss several issues at the all-parties conference, including the creation of new provinces, law and order, and the economy.
On September 11, the opposition announced its intention to hold consultations to call an all-parties conference. Barrister Gohar outlined plans to hold an all-parties conference to discuss issues such as the current law and order situation, the economy, inflation, lawlessness, and the creation of new provinces.
