Blue Dart has launched an international parcel service called International Parcel Connect, allowing Indian e-commerce firms and SMEs to ship parcels to overseas customers. The service initially ships parcels from India to the US, with plans to expand to other countries including the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia.
The service supports parcels weighing 50g to 11kg, catering to a wide range of products including apparel, automobile spare parts, books, handicrafts, and more. According to Dipanjan Banerjee, Chief Commercial Officer of Blue Dart, India's B2C e-commerce exports are estimated to be around $2 billion, reflecting the opportunity for Indian businesses to reach overseas customers.
International Parcel Connect offers two delivery speeds to suit customer needs, providing an alternative to premium-priced express services and lower-cost postal options. The service also provides shipment visibility and Blue Dart customer support in India, giving customers greater control and a local point of contact.
