Vodafone Idea has reported a net loss of ₹3,754 crore for the June quarter, despite a 6% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹11,689 crore. The company's customer base rose to 193.1 million in the quarter ended June, from 192.8 million in the preceding quarter.

The telecom company's EBITDA grew 9% year-on-year to ₹5,034 crore from ₹4,612 crore. This growth is significant, given the challenging market conditions. Vodafone Idea is one of the many companies scheduled to release their Q1 results for FY27, with around 1,700 companies set to report their financial results for the quarter ending on 30 June 2026.

More than 230 companies are scheduled to release their financial results on Monday, 10 August, including Bharat Forge, MRF, and Rail Vikas Nigam. Rail Vikas Nigam's standalone PAT rose 22% to ₹155.62 crore, while NBCC (India) reported a 32% year-on-year increase in standalone PAT to ₹150.65 crore. MRF's standalone PAT, however, dipped to ₹474.37 crore.

## What changed The earnings season is expected to gather further momentum, with several companies, including Ashok Leyland, Apollo Hospitals, and Tata Motors, scheduled to announce their quarterly results. Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal expects modest 1% QoQ revenue growth for Vodafone Idea, driven by one extra day QoQ, offset by continued net wireless subscriber declines.

## Why it matters The Q1 results will provide insight into the performance of various companies, including those in the telecom and manufacturing sectors. The results will also impact the stock market, which has been volatile in recent times. The Sensex gained 0.52% to close at 78,499.17, while the Nifty advanced 0.77% to settle at 24,570.65.

The upcoming results will be closely watched by investors and analysts, as they will provide a glimpse into the health of the economy and the performance of various sectors. With many companies set to release their results, the next few days will be crucial for the stock market.
