Dubai's 'A Dubai Invite' scheme distributes 30,000 packages worth €700 each after overwhelming demand

Dubai's 'A Dubai Invite' scheme has closed registrations after receiving over 90,000 applications from residents. The scheme, which offers benefits worth over AED 3,000 (€700), including discounted hotel stays, dining offers and free or reduced-price tickets to some of Dubai's biggest attractions, has already distributed more than 30,000 packages.
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) increased the number of benefit packages available by more than three times due to strong demand. Eligible visitors can still arrive in Dubai until 31 October 2026, and benefits are distributed to successful applicants within 72 hours of their guests' arrival and can be used at participating venues until 31 December.
The scheme was launched in July to encourage residents to become “ambassadors of the city by welcoming their loved ones to Dubai”. Participating properties include W Dubai Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, and Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort.
## Why it matters The closure of registrations for the 'A Dubai Invite' scheme comes after a record 19.59 million international visitors in 2025. The scheme's success is a testament to Dubai's growing popularity as a tourist destination. With the scheme's benefits still available to eligible visitors until the end of the year, it is likely to continue to attract more visitors to the city.
The scheme's impact will be felt by the city's hospitality and tourism industries, with participating venues likely to see an increase in business. The scheme's success also highlights the importance of word-of-mouth marketing and the role that residents can play in promoting the city to their friends and family.
## What happens next Although new registrations are now closed, the programme isn't over for those who successfully applied. Eligible visitors can still arrive in Dubai until 31 October 2026, and benefits can be used at participating venues until 31 December. The scheme's success is likely to lead to similar initiatives in the future, as the city continues to grow and develop its tourism industry.
